Top Trump aides to DEFY subpoenas in January 6 investigation ā Trump legal team letter says
The fmr. Trump WH Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, Steve Bannon, Dan Scavino and other Trump advisors subpoenaed by the House select committee investigating the Capitol riot have been instructed to defy orders, WaPo reports.
The move marks the first major investigative hurdle faced by the select committee and threatens to touch off an extended legal battle as the fmr. president pushes some of his most senior aides to undercut the inquiry.
