North Carolina — Word of a potential threat prompted Rolesville High School administrators to put the school on a code red lockdown Wednesday morning.

“After reporting the threat to law enforcement and WCPSS Security officials, we are moved into a code red lockdown while law enforcement and security officials continue to investigate the source of the threat,” school officials said in a message to parents.

“These steps are taken as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of our students and faculty.”
