Third Nation Serves Tennis Ace Djokovic with Illegal Entry Investigation
Spanish authorities have extended the tennis star’s woes by becoming the third country to look into his alleged travel itinerary before arriving in Australia.
Novak Djokovic flew to Marbella on December 31 without requesting special permission to enter Spain without vaccination, but he may be let off the hook as a Spanish resident – having bought property there in 2020.
Djokovic is still set to play at the Australian Open in Melbourne on Monday, as tournament ticket sales have now been restricted to 50% capacity amidst a spike in Covid cases in the city.
The Serbian has been accused of appearing in public and doing interviews while positive with Covid-19.
