OCEAN SPRINGS, MISSISSIPPI: The Ocean Springs Police Department responded to a five-vehicle accident on Bienville Boulevard near the intersection of South Ocean Springs Road.
Upon arrival, officers observed several vehicles on fire along with multiple persons injured.
One person died on scene and another at the hospital.
The deceased have been identified as sisters Mary “Julie” Kelley and Elizabeth “Lisa” Conners (Kelley).
On July 16, after an extensive investigation, Ocean Springs Police Department arrested Joseph Leo Nangle on two counts of aggravated DUI.
Nangle, 43, of Ocean Springs, is being held at the Jackson County Adult Detention Center (JCADC) and is awaiting a preliminary hearing.
Bond has been set at $500,000 by Municipal Court Judge Calvin Taylor.
This incident is still under investigation.
