
A man who grew up in Tulsa, but now lives in Texas, is headed to federal prison for just under 3 years for bank fraud.
Federal prosecutors say Shane Hannaford was also ordered to pay back $800,000 to a total of 11 victims.
He had been indicted for 10 counts of fraud and he pled guilty to 1 count and agreed to pay back the money.
They say he owned Hannaford Development Group got a loan from a bank to finance construction costs for a church in Bartlesville, then never paid back the loan.
The indictment says he was also accused of lying to businesses about having a construction contract in Iraq and getting businesses to pay him big money for a license to do business over there, but, never got any such license.
It also accused him of fraudulently taking over control of a home.
He remains out on bond until he voluntarily surrenders to a
federal prison.
