Texas COVID COFFINS TV ad pulled 10 mins before national college football broadcast.
A Lincoln Project TV commercial attacking state governor Greg Abbott’s handling of the Covid crisis was yanked just minutes before going on air – amidst suspicions of political influence.
The $25k 60-second spot apparently blamed Abbott for Texas’ 60K Covid deaths, claiming the wood from their caskets would stretch 85 miles to a backdrop of a border wall made from coffins.
“Instead of focusing on the task of keeping Texans safe from the coronavirus pandemic, it appears Abbott and his advisers are focusing their time and energy on censoring their political opponent,” a Lincoln Project statement said. “We’re not finished with Governor Abbott.”
