RawNews1st – Tampa Police Officers were called to the 6200 block of S Manhattan Ave around 8:40 a.m.
Shortly after two teenage girls had engaged in a pre-planned fight. When the fight ended, Terrance Jones, 16, who was wearing a ski mask, fired one shot at a 17-year-old girl who was engaged in the altercation as she walked away, striking her in the back.
Jones is related to the other juvenile female who fought the victim just prior.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition but survived her injuries.

According to individuals on scene, the fight was due to an argument over Jones purchasing marijuana from the victim with a counterfeit $100 bill on a separate occasion.
One day prior to the shooting, October 13, the victim and a friend confronted Jones over the counterfeit money and fought him too. Jones’ teenaged relative asked the victim to meet her at their apartment complex the following day to fight, which is when the shooting occurred.
At the crime scene, one 9mm shell casing was recovered. Through investigative means, detectives identified Jones as the shooter.
Following a consent to search his residence, a small black 9mm semi-automatic handgun was recovered with a ballistic match to the shell casing found at the scene.Jones was interviewed by detectives on Tuesday night, October 18, and he confessed to the shooting.
Jones was arrested and is now facing three felony charges including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, second degree attempted murder with a firearm, and aggravated battery with great bodily harm.
