A teenage boy was shot in the head and seriously injured in the Washington Park neighborhood early Tuesday.
According to police, the 17-year-old was inside a vehicle in the 100 block of East 59th Street around 5:37 a.m. when a red SUV pulled up and one male got out and began shooting.
The victim was hit in the head and taken to St. Bernard Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, according to police.
With the SUV in tow, the shooter fled southbound down the alley.
As Area One detectives conduct their investigation, no one is in custody.
