A teen was injured in a drive-by shooting Monday night in Chicago’s Brighton Park neighborhood on the city’s Southwest Side.

Around 8:24 p.m., the 17-year-old was standing on the sidewalk when a dark-colored vehicle pulled up and someone inside began shooting in the 4600 block of South Albany Avenue, according to police.

The adolescent was hit in the shin and self-transported to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

As Area One detectives conduct their investigation, no one is in custody.
