A teen has been charged in connection with a fatal shooting in Grayslake, Illinois, last September.
According to Grayslake police, a gunshot victim died on the way to Northwestern Medicine Emergency Center on September 17, 2022, around 10:30 p.m.
He was shot near the intersection of Washington Street and Lancer Lane, according to officers.
Investigators announced on Thursday that a 17-year-old had been charged with the victim’s murder.
Four counts of aggravated discharge of a firearm, three counts of second-degree murder, and two counts of unlawful use of a weapon were filed against the teen.
Because the teen is a minor, their identity has not been revealed.
