Police responded to a report of a traffic crash in the area of 15th Street and Interstate 359 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Upon arrival, they found a woman dead inside her car. Further investigation showed she had been shot.
The victim was identified 28-year-old Brunesha Renee McIntosh.
The suspect was identified as 25-year-old Ladarious Jaquan Bullock. He has been charged with capital murder.
After processing the scene for physical evidence, obtaining video surveillance, and interviewing several witnesses, Bullock was developed as a suspect and later taken into custody in Huntsville.
He was booked into the Madison County Jail shortly before 3 p.m.
Authorities said the killing was domestic in nature and the investigation is ongoing.
