A suspect wanted in connection to the shooting death of his children’s mother was taken into custody during a traffic stop on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Lumberton by Robeson County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Investigators.
Scotti Dewayne Tyler, 38, of Rowland was charged with first degree murder and nine (9) counts of discharging a weapon into an occupied dwelling. Tyler is being held at the Robeson County Detention Center without bond.
The charges are in relation to the death of Lydia Ann Hoyos, 36, of Rowland.
On Sunday, April 14, 2024, at approximately 5:52 a.m., Hoyos, was found deceased inside of her residence after deputies responded to 150 Levi Rd., Rowland.
Tyler and Hoyos were recently in a relationship and shared two (2) children.
