Amber Henderson pleaded guilty to stabbing and killing her boyfriend, Brent Armstrong, in their Jenks home.
Records show he was stabbed several times and Henderson had told the officers he shoved her and that’s when she stabbed him.
Henderson was originally charged with murder, but, pled guilty to 1st degree manslaughter and will be sentenced next month.
She pled guilty after prosecutors asked the judge if they could use her prior bad acts against her at the trial.
The prosecutors wrote in a motion that 2 citizens who knew the victim and saw him frequently in the months before his death, always looked like he’d been “beat up” or “beat to hell” and they say Armstrong told them, his girlfriend did it.
The Motion also says Armstrong told the 2 citizens, Henderson had stabbed Armstrong a few months before his death.
Armstrong told them, she had stabbed him 6 times in the arm, while he was asleep, causing an infection and the motion says, that was backed up by hospital records.
The Motion also says Henderson’s daughter had gotten a protective order against Henderson, accusing the mother of physical abuse, including being stabbed with a screwdriver, shoved and put into a chokehold.
Prosecutors had argued they should be allowed to use this information at a trial to show intent, motive, lack of mistake or accident.
The judge set a hearing to consider that request and that’s the day Henderson decided to plead guilty to a lesser charge.
