RawNews1st – Royse City Police Department is asking for help in identifying the subject in the video. The suspect is wanted for car burglary, a stolen vehicle and three counts of hit and run.
The suspect is covering his face in the video but we believe someone has information on who this subject is.
The incident occurred earlier this morning in the area of Singleton, Rowdy and Brice Street. The subject was seen by a resident on his Ring camera trying to open his car door.
Officers responded to the area and started looking for the suspect. While one officer was checking the area on foot, he came across a pickup truck in the roadway. As the officer approached the vehicle on foot, the vehicle sped off.
The officer alerted the other officers in the area about the truck and they started looking for it. While searching the area, the vehicle was found wrecked and abandoned on Brice Street.
It appeared that the suspect lost control of the vehicle and struck three parked cars before running away on foot.
Officers searched the area and deployed the department’s drone with an infrared camera system but were unable to locate the suspect. The Pickup was later reported as stolen from a residence on Hardy Street.
A reward through Rockwall County Crime Stoppers is available to anyone with information leading to an arrest of the suspect.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Royse City Police Department or the Rockwall County Crime Stoppers.
You can call 972-771-TIPS or submit a tip on online at www.rockwallcountycrimestoppers.com and tipsters can remain anonymous.
