A Tulsa woman is charged with endangering others while eluding, kidnapping, stolen vehicle and no driver’s license.
The arrest report for Kristie Rankins says on November 19th around 11:30 PM, an officer spotted a car that had no license plate and appeared to be stalling in an intersection near 41st and Garnett, so the officer turned on their lights, but the driver took off.
It says the passenger opened the door and waved his hands, like he did not want to be in the car, and tried to jump a couple of times, but the driver was going too fast.
It says Rankins went 65 mph and blew through stop signs, then got onto 169 doing 85, then back into neighborhoods where the car finally stalled and the passenger jumped out and went immediately to officers.
It says Rankins initially told officers the driver ran away, but then admitted she was the driver.
It says the man said he’d only known Rankins briefly and was held against his will during the pursuit.
These are charges, not a conviction.
