The suspect in a standoff after an Arcadia officer was shot, along with two other people, has surrendered.

The incident began as a dispute between two brothers, one of which was armed, at about 5:45 p.m. at a home in the 2500 block of Greenfield Avenue.

When officers arrived, the suspect opened fire, striking an officer in the face and a female family member in the upper body.

The third victim, an 80-year-old man who lives across the street, was struck by a bullet that flew through the window of his home as he and his wife babysat their granddaughter.

The officers did not return fire, Bourgeous said.

As the situation unfolded, Arcadia police called for help from Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Special Enforcement Bureau.
