RawNews1st – Flowood Police Say Suspect/Fired Applebee’s Employee is in Custody After Another Employee Was Shot in the Chest and Stomach; Happened in the Parking Lot of Lakeland Drive Restaurant; Victim Taken to UMMC
At 4:57 p.m., Flowood Police received a call regarding a shooting at the Applebee’s on Lakeland Drive.
Officers arrived and located one male subject behind the restaurant with two gunshot wounds. Patrol officers and investigators secured the scene and began interviewing witnesses to obtain an identity of the suspect.
Managers and staff on the scene quickly provided a name of the suspect and his possible location.

The Flowood Police Department was assisted by the Rankin County Sheriff’s Department, Pearl Police Department, MHP, Brandon Police Department and Hinds County and Jackson Police.
The subject was later arrested around 7:14 p.m. at an apartment complex near Ridgewood Road and Lakeland Drive.
The suspect has been identified as Timmy Allen Beliew Jr. of Winnfield, Louisiana.
The subject was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Weapon. The subject is being held in the Rankin County Jail with No Bond.
