A woman is back in jail, charged with robbery and kidnapping, after a judge released her on no bond, with a GPS monitor, but, the GPS monitor went offline.
The affidavit for Kathleen Kumpf and Scott Norman says last August, she contacted a man on social media and asked him if he wanted to hang out.
It says she gave him an address and he picked her up around 10:15 pm and brought her back around 1:30 am and when he got out of the car, to open her car door, Scott Norman arrived with a gun and demanded money.
It says Kumpf took the victim’s phone and tried to download CashApp to it and add the victim’s debit card but when the download failed, they forced the victim to drive to an ATM and withdrawal $200.
It says Kumpf waited in the car while Norman went into the store to the ATM with the victim and when the victim got back to his car, his wallet was gone.
It says the victim drove the couple back to the original location, dropped them off and left.
They were charged last fall and a judge has ordered Norman to stand trial this June and he’s being held on a $100,000 bond.
Documents say Kumpf’s bond was originally set at $50,000 but, in December, Judge Rodney Sparkman, dropped it no bond and ordered Kumpf to wear an ankle monitor.
The GPS monitor went offline on January 10th and a no bond warrant was issued for her arrest and she’s back in custody.
Records show Norman had a previous adjudication as a juvenile for armed robbery and Kumpf had numerous reports listed in JOLTS, the Juvenile On-Line Tracking System.
