Suspect charged with killing his sister-in-law, niece, in double-murder in Bath

According to officials, just after 1 p.m., Bath police responded to 11 Tyler Way for a report of shots fired.
Charles “Chuck” Readey, 73, was arrested after officials said he was found at the residence with a firearm.
A Bath man has been arrested for the murder of his sister-in-law and niece, investigators with the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office confirmed late Tuesday evening.
Police said both appeared to have suffered gunshot wounds. Upon arrival, authorities found Cindy Moody, 67, and her daughter, Kristal Moody, 39, dead at the scene.
Readey has been charged with two counts of second-degree murder, for knowingly causing the death of Kristal Moody and Cindy Moody.
Autopsies for both mother and daughter are scheduled for Wednesday by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
