CAUGHT BREAKING INTO AN ESCAPE ROOM — The perp may not understand how escape rooms work
Officers responded to a burglary in progress at The Xscapery Escape Room near 6th and Boston.
The business provided security footage which showed the suspect, identified as David Bell, inside the building. Bell disconnected the cameras a short time later.
Officers set up a perimeter around the building and began searching for Bell. While trying to run, at one point Bell threw multiple glass objects down a stairwell at Officers below.
After several hours of tracking Bell through the building on various floors, a K9 Officer helped find Bell hiding on top of an elevator between floors.
Bell was taken into custody and arrested for:
- 2nd Degree Burglary AFCF (After Former Conviction of a Felony)
- Obstruction
- Assault and Battery on a Police Officer, two counts
- Cruelty/interfering with a Police Dog
- Malicious Injury to Property
This is an arrest, not a conviction.
