At 7:00 AM Tuesday, Tuscaloosa Police were called to Forrester Gardens Apartments on a shooting. A female victim was found having been shot multiple times and was transported to DCH where she remains in serious condition.

The suspect fled before officers arrival, and responding

Tuscaloosa Police Officers set up a perimeter and began searching for him.

The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit was called out to assume the investigation. The suspect was located by TPD a short time later. The suspect is Pasha Darget, age 36. The female victim had been in a previous relationship Darget.

Darget has been charged with the following:

Attempted Murder
Shooting into Occupied Vehicle
Prohibited Person in Possession of a Firearm

No bonds were set until Darget’s charges can be evaluated by the courts. This was due in part to the fact that Darget was currently out on bond for an Assault 2nd degree and Domestic Violence 3rd Degree(Assault) for which he was arrested on 11.25.2021.

The same victim from today’s case and another family member had been assaulted by Darget on November 25 for which Darget was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd and Domestic Violence 3rd degree.

Working with the District Attorney’s Office, the bond on these charges from November have also been revoked.
