Suspect arrested after woman shot to death outside Butchertown food plant where she worked
Louisville Metro Police Department said a shooting happened around 3:18 p.m. Friday in the 1300 block of Story Avenue, in the parking lot of JBS. That’s across the street from the Butchertown Market building.
They have not yet identified her, but police said she is an employee at JBS.
LMPD gave an update around 6:30 p.m. saying that a man contacted them and turned himself in. Their homicide unit met with the man and arrested him.
Police said there are no other outstanding suspects and that the incident appeared to be isolated.
LMPD is still investigating the shooting.
