Suspect arrested after stealing a truck, crashing, and then trying to run
On August 17th, 2025, around 11:30 p.m., Officers responded to 7 North Yale for an auto theft.
The victim reported that his Ford Ranger pickup was stolen while he was inside the QuikTrip.
Surveillance video showed a white shirtless male, wearing blue jeans, getting into the truck and leaving the parking lot.
Shortly after that, Officers received information that the Ford Ranger had crashed into a Nissan near 6100 E. Admiral, and several witnesses saw the suspect jump out and run.
The Tulsa Police Helicopter quickly responded to the area and spotted the suspect, identified as Michael Riddick, on a concrete barrier near I-244 and Sheridan. Officers on the ground quickly took Riddick into custody.
Riddick admitted to consuming a large amount of drugs that day, and he appeared heavily impaired at the time of the arrest.
Michael Riddick was arrested for:- Possession of a Stolen Vehicle- Hit and Run- Driving Under the Influence of Drugs- Traffic Offenses Great work by Officers on the ground and in the air in making this arrest!
