Super Mario RPG Remake Announced During Nintendo Direct 2023

Simply titled Super Mario RPG, this remake has stayed faithful to the turn-based, timing-based combat of the original, but the visuals have been given a full facelift. Also, those of us who have been begging to see Mallow and Geno in 3D again — well, here we go.

Note: The Super Mario Bros. Movie was released in the United States on April 5, 2023, to mixed reviews from critics.

The film has grossed $1.3 billion worldwide, setting multiple box-office records, including the biggest worldwide opening weekend for an animated film and the highest-grossing film based on a video game.
