Raw_News1st – At approximately 1:41 a.m., a trooper on patrol saw a black 2021 Toyota Camry speeding on southbound Philadelphia Pike near Rolling Road.
The trooper initiated a traffic stop, and the Camry came to a stop in a parking lot. The operator of the Camry, identified as Jamal Wing, exited the car without being told and refused all commands to return to his car.
Wing proceeded to forcibly resist arrest when troopers and a DSP K9 were detaining him. Wing continued to resist and bit the DSP K9 multiple times. Wing was taken into custody a short time later and troopers smelled alcohol coming from his breath and detected signs of impairment. Wing was transported to an area hospital by EMS for injuries he sustained from resisting.
At the hospital, Wing continued to resist and assaulted a trooper causing the trooper injury and damaging Delaware State Police property.
Two troopers and K9 Mako were injured by Wing and required medical evaluation at an area hospital.
Once discharged from the hospital, Wing was transported to Troop 1 and charged with the following crimes:
