Stash house with a total of 21 illegal immigrants and seven bundles of naroctics

LAREDO – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) during Operation Lone Star (OLS) located a stash house with a total of 21 illegal immigrants and seven bundles of naroctics in Webb County.

Just after 4:00 p.m., DPS Special Agents with the assistance of the United States Border Patrol (USBP) noticed suspicious activity at a residence in east Laredo.

After further investigation, they discovered 21 illegal immigrants, including sixteen males and five females from Guatemala, inside the residence. All were referred to USBP.

A further search of the home revealed seven tape-wrapped bundles of marijuana with a total weight of 162 pounds.

The drugs have an estimated street value of $129,600.

Jonathan Gabriel Martinez, 27, of Laredo, was arrested and charged with smuggling of persons, operation of a stash house and possession of marijuana.
