Southwest District Homicide Arrest
In reference to the killing of 31-year-old James Moore (B/M), who was located dead in the unit block of Morris Road at Franklintown Road, investigators have arrested 38-year-old Ronnie Harris Jr (repeat violent offender), 33-year-old Janay Barksdale (repeat offender), and 40-year-old Morgan Reed (repeat offender).
All three suspects have been transported to Central Booking Intake Facility.
Ronnie Harris has been charged with 1st Degree Murder while Barksdale and Reed have both been charged with Conspiracy to Commit Retaliation, Accessory After the Fact to 1st and 2nd Degree Murder, and Retaliation and Witness Intimidation.
All three arrested suspects are being held at Central Booking without bail.
Southwest District Homicide Investigation
On January 31, 2022, at approximately 1:51 a.m., Southwest District patrol officers were dispatched to the Unit block of Morris Road to investigate a reported shooting.
When officers arrived at the location they observed an unidentified male suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead by medical personnel.
Homicide detectives assumed control over the investigation.
