The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office released information on the mass shooting Sunday morning, saying it took place just before 1 a.m. at Willie’s Bar and Grill on St. Helena Island.
The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office in South Carolina is investigating a mass shooting that took place at a bar overnight.
Hundreds of people were there when the shooting happened, leaving multiple dead and injured.
Four people were killed, and at least 20 more were hurt. Four of those victims were taken to the hospital in critical condition, and the sheriff’s office said more victims continued to show up at various hospitals in the area.
It’s not known what led up to the shooting or why it happened.
Victim identities have also not yet been given, and information about the suspected shooter wasn’t given yet.
