Slidell Police Make Arrest in Early Morning Shooting
Shortly after 2:00am this morning, Slidell Police responded to the Stone Creek Apartments (400 Joseph St.) in reference to a shooting.
When officers arrived, they located a female victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to University Medical Center, where she is currently listed in critical condition.
Detectives identified 43-year-old, Calvin Brown III (Slidell, LA), as the suspect, and arrested him earlier this afternoon. Brown is currently being held at the Slidell City Jail and is facing one count of Attempted Second Degree Murder.
The investigation is on-going and additional charges may be filed at a later date. The motive of the shooting is presumably domestic related.
Brown will be transferred to the St. Tammany Parish Jail where a bond will be set.
