Six Rockets Strike Baghdad Airport
Six rockets were fired at the Iraqi capital airport Friday, injuring one person and damaging a disused civilian plane, according to an interior ministry source.
The rockets reportedly hit the airport’s runways and parking areas.
Some Iraqi and US officials blame the attack on Shia armed groups, who oppose the American military presence in the region. No group has so far taken claim for the attack.
