Records from the Charleston County Detention Center website show Paul Cauthen was arrested on May 18 and charged with possession of a Schedule 1 controlled substance and manufacturing or possessing a Schedule I, II, and III controlled substance.
The Isle of Palms police made the arrest, the records show.
Cauthen was released from jail on bond the same day as his arrest.
The police report from the Isle of Palms Police Department said an officer was patrolling Ocean Boulevard at about 3 a.m. and noticed a strong smell of marijuana coming from a silver tour bus that was illegally parked.
The report said two people, one being Cauthen, were standing outside the bus.
According to the report, Cauthen admitted to having about one ounce of marijuana in a suitcase on the bus.
