Police and other emergency services in California are responding to reports of an active shooting at a church near Sacramento, local officials and witnesses say. Only few details were immediately available.
The incident began on late Monday afternoon when officers were called for an active shooter at The Church in Sacramento, which is located on Wyda Way in Arden-Arcade, a community on the edge of Sacramento.
A shooting has been confirmed but the status of the suspect is unknown.
There are initial reports that at least five people have been shot, and that multiple people have been killed. A large number of emergency services have been called to the scene while officers work to secure the scene.
