Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit are investigating a shooting that occurred at the V Luxx Hookah Lounge that resulted in a death and several injured.
On April 2, 2023 at approximately 10:55 p.m., officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to the 5000 block of Yadkin Road for reports of a shooting.
Upon arriving on scene, officers located an adult male who died on scene from his injuries. There were four other adults that were transported to a local hospital.
One is listed in critical condition and the others suffered from minor injuries as a result of the shooting.

The preliminary investigation revealed an altercation occurred inside of the establishment that resulted in a shooting in the parking lot.
