Sex, Drugs & Booze! TikTok Promotes Addiction and Fetishes to Teens – Report
The streaming platform has allegedly fed content promoting rape, drugs, and sexual fantasies, including some depicting caregivers and children to kids as young as 13. (Wall Street Journal investigation)
The publication used dozens of automated bots registered as users between 13 and 15 to see what videos were being driven into feeds. Some of the content the WSJ came across is banned per the platform’s community guidelines.
A spokesperson for TikTok says the app doesn’t differentiate between video it recommends to adults versus minors.
