RawNews1st – Shots fired in Witchekan Lake First Nation in Canada. Several armed suspects at large. People in the area asked to seek immediate shelter.
In a media release, the Mounties said several armed suspects were at large, possibly on foot or possibly in a mid-200s dark red Mustang.
“At this time, it’s not believed to be connected to the James Smith Cree Nation investigation,” the RCMP said, referring to Sunday’s stabbing rampage.
The First Nation is about 130 kilometres west of Prince Albert.
The RCMP warned people to shelter in place if they’re in the area, to use caution when allowing people into their home, to not pick up hitchhikers, and to stay away from suspicious people.
Anyone who sees anything suspicious was urged to call 911.
