A semi was involved in a crash on the Clark Memorial/2nd Street bridge Friday afternoon, leaving it dangling over the side high above the Ohio River.
The crash, involving four vehicles total, happened around 12:04 p.m. It sent the semi over the edge with a person stuck in the cab.
The mayor said some of the people involved have life-threatening injuries.
Rescuers were able to get the driver, a woman, out after about 40 minutes. They rappelled a rescuer down, and the two were pulled up by rope and pulley.
They were safely back on the bridge by 12:45 p.m.
