RawNews1st – Los Banos Police Department served four search warrants in Los Banos, each aimed at addressing gang violence in town.
Detectives and members of the Los Banos Police Department Gang unit have been investigating a number of shooting cases, one of which was reported on October 5th in the 800 Block of Pennsylvania Ave.
Today, Officers served a search warrant at a residence in that block and located a loaded handgun, and ammunition belonging to a 19-year-old male who was not home.
In addition, approximately 50 pounds of marijuana and other evidence of marijuana sales were located inside the residence.
Officers served two search warrants at residences in the 800 Block of Mercy Springs Road and in the 2100 Block of San Luis Street, finding only gang-related evidence at these homes.
A fourth search warrant was executed in the 400 Block of Birchwood Avenue related to a firearm brandishing case reported on September 26th.
At the residence, Officers located an un-serialized fully automatic handgun with a suppressor attached, ammunition and high capacity handgun magazines.
The 17-year-old suspect at this residence was not home and has not been located.
