Baltimore County police said a search for who they called an “armed and dangerous” man continues Thursday after an officer was injured the day before in a barricade situation.
Police ask residents in the area of Powers Avenue in Cockeysville to shelter in place until further notice.
Baltimore County police are searching for David Emory Linthicum, 24, who they described as a white man who is 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighs 165 pounds and has long auburn hair, brown eyes and a beard.
Police updated a clothing description of Linthicum, saying he may be wearing dark-colored shorts and a dark-colored short-sleeved shirt.
County police said the search stems from a call for a person in crisis received around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Police said officers arrived to a house in the 10000 block of Powers Avenue, where a family member escorted them to the person.
As officers interacted with the man, he discharged a firearm, police said.
