OFFICER STABBED IN THE FACE — suspect arrested in East Tulsa

Officers responded to a liquor store near 41st and Garnett for multiple calls about a homeless male exposing himself and urinating behind the building.

When the Officer arrived, they spotted a man matching the suspect’s description and saw him walking between several nearby businesses.

Unbeknownst to the Officer, Flynn had a concealed knife in his waistband, and when the Officer approached him, he quickly pulled the knife and stabbed the Officer in the face.

The impact of the stabbing caused part of the knife to break off and embed in the Officer’s cheek.

Despite the injury, the Officer continued pursuing Flynn. After two unsuccessful Taser attempts, additional Officers quickly arrived on the scene and were able to get the suspect into custody.

The injured Officer was taken to the hospital and underwent surgery last night. Fortunately, medical personnel were able to tend to the wound, and the Officer is expected to recover from the injury.

Scorpio Flynn told Officers that he intentionally stabbed the Officer who was trying to arrest him.

Scorpio Flynn was arrested for:

  • Attempted 1st Degree Murder
  • Resisting Arrest

This is an arrest, not a conviction.
