Scientists Reveal How Much Time the Sun Has Left
Our Sun is a “middle-aged” star, being halfway through its life, say researchers at the Smithsonian and Harvard College Observatories.
According to them, we only have the next five billion years to enjoy some sunny days – so make them count.
Such calculations became possible just recently, thanks to a new understanding of nuclear reactions and fusion, based on being able to compile data from many different observed stars.
