S. Defense Sec. Austin tests positive for COVID
Lloyd Austin has tested positive for coronavirus, the US defense chief announced on his Twitter page.
“I tested positive this morning for COVID-19. I requested the test today after exhibiting symptoms while at home on leave. My symptoms are mild, and I am following my physician’s directions,” Austin stated.
He added that his meeting with President Biden was on Dec 21, more than a week before symptoms began.
