Products were packaged between March 17, 2025, and September 26, 2025 and have the numbers “EST-582” or “P-894” printed on the item.
The Hillshire Brands Co. of Texas is recalling 58 million pounds of corn dog and sausage on a stick products due to possible extraneous matter contamination, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced Saturday.
Items were sold online and shipped to retail and food service locations nationwide, as well as school districts and Department of Defense facilities. These products should be returned to the place of purchase if unopened or necessary, or thrown away entirely.
Multiple consumer complaints led to the discovery of the problem, five of which involved injuries.
