Flordia – Fort Myer’s man sentenced for murder.
“This man’s senseless actions led to the death of an innocent woman,” stated Sheriff Carmine Marceno. “Thanks to my homicide unit and the work of the State Attorney’s Office, this man will spend three decades behind bars thinking about what he did,” said Sheriff Marceno.
Raymundo Estrada was sentenced to 30 years in prison for second-degree murder, attempted robbery, and shooting at an occupied vehicle.
In November 2020, Lee County investigators learned the victim drove her boyfriend to a remote area of Lehigh Acres to meet some men.
On scene, Estrada attempted to rob the couple and shot the victim in the face, killing her. Estrada fled before calling 911.
Through hard work, detectives were able to identify Estrada as the suspect.
