RawNews1st – A pregnant woman reported she was raped and sexually assaulted by her roommate, Samuel Shields.
Shields refused to cooperate with the investigation or meet with detectives, and he was charged with 1st Degree Rape on 3/15/2024.
Officers received information that Shields quit his job and was planning to leave the country.
On 3/16/2024, Samuel Shields was located at the Pensacola International Airport. Shields had a boarding pass to San Juan, Puerto Rico. TSA questioned Shields and he was taken into custody and booked into the Escambia County Jail.
We appreciate the Pensacola Police Department for their help in making the arrest.
Samuel Shields will be brought back to Tulsa to face charges in the near future.
