Queen Elizabeth set to enter “new phase” – Monarch may lie low till Feb as health fears persist
Queen Elizabeth II might stay out of the public eye until February, according to experts after a sprained back saw her miss the Remembrance Sunday service, and pull out of the COP26 summit reception.
Eagle-eyed royal watchers have noticed the Queen’s hands appearing to look distinctly purple in recent photos and noticeably in a face-to-face audience at Windsor Castle with General Sir Nick Carter this week.
Health expert Dr Jay Verma of the Shakespeare Medical Centre told the Metro: “It might be Raynaud’s phenomenon or just really cold hands. The purple is due to deoxygenated blood.”
The Queen has not been seen at in-person event in more than a month since she hosted a reception for the global investment summit at Windsor on Oct. 19.
