Public Assistance to Locate Stolen Vehicle and Identify Woman Responsible for Hit and Run
Just before 5:40 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 2022, a community member attended a food establishment on Regent Street in Greater Sudbury.
While inside picking up her order, she saw an unknown woman getting into her vehicle, a 2008 four-door, dark grey Honda Accord with Ontario licence plate CEVE 349, that was running in the parking lot.
The community member immediately ran outside in an attempt to stop the woman from driving away in the vehicle.
The community member grabbed the driver’s side mirror as the woman quickly reversed the vehicle causing the mirror to fall off.
The woman then put the vehicle into drive and proceeded to run over the community member before continuing on Regent Street towards the Four Corners.
The 35 year old community member sustained serious injuries as a result of the incident and remains in hospital in serious but stable condition.
The woman responsible for the incident (images attached) is described as being White, around 5’4” tall, with a thin build and dark brown hair that was in a ponytail at the time of the incident.
The woman was last seen wearing a white sweater, black pants with white markings, a black hat and black and white running shoes.
The vehicle (similar vehicle image attached), a 2008 four-door, dark grey Honda Accord with Ontario licence plate CEVE 349, is still outstanding.
The vehicle will be missing the driver’s side mirror.
