Prince Andrew Emerges As Sex Assault Case Puts Duke on Slippery Slope
The royal has been urged to pursue an out-of-court settlement with Virginia Giuffre to save embarrassing his 95-year-old mother Queen Elizabeth – after reports suggested a $14MN payoff may be rejected.
This week he settled a legal dispute with the previous owner of his $25MN luxury Swiss ski chalet, paving the way for a sale that could fund a settlement – which happens in 99% of US civil court cases.
If Giuffre refuses a pay-off, or Andrew decides to risk attempting to clear his name in court, Giuffre’s attorney David Boies claimed up to 12 depositions of Royal Family members could be made.
