RawNews1st – An investigation is underway after deputies located possible human remains in the Columbia River on the east side of the Cable Bridge in Kennewick.
At about 1 p.m., Benton County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the scene after receiving a call about an object floating just offshore.
Detectives along with the Benton County Coroner’s Office will be working together to determine identity and cause of death.
No further details regarding the sex, age range, or any specifics about the remains have been made public at this stage.
Detectives initially located these remains east of the Cable Bridge near the Kennewick side of the Columbia River.
This investigation will be led through a collaboration between the Benton County Sheriff’s Office and the Benton County Coroner’s Office.
They are working to identify the remains and determine a cause of death No more information has been made available at this stage of their investigation.
