Police say they are searching for a carjacking suspect who reportedly pointed a gun at a 75-year-old man and stole his SUV in Portland.
Police say the victim, a 75-year-old man, stated he dropped his wife off to do an errand and temporarily parked in the fire lane as he waited for her to return.
A man then entered his vehicle and sat in the passenger seat and pointed a gun at him.
The car owner quickly got out of the vehicle and the suspect drove away.
Police say they are looking for the vehicle and the suspect.
The stolen vehicle is a 2016 gray Toyota Highlander with a Maine plate 5944ND
Police say the suspect is described as a “Black male in his 20s with clean cut hair.”Anyone with information is asked to call the Portland Police Department at (207) 874-8575
