RawNews1st – Police officers were called to the Comfort Inn at 70th and Grover streets in Omaha, Nebraska at about 5:40 a.m. for a report of a woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.
Police say 26-year-old Esmeralda Vargas was found shot on the third floor of the Comfort Inn & Suites.
Police say Vargas was taken to CUMC-Bergan Mercy Medical Center in critical condition, where she died.
Omaha Police announced later Monday night that Daniel Nickels was identified as the suspect and was arrested in Missouri.
